Google Issues Another Emergency 0-Day Patch For Billions Of Chrome Installs, Update ASAP
Google has issued an emergency patch for a zero-day vulnerability (CVE-2023-3079) affecting billions of Chrome installs. The flaw, a "Type Confusion in V8," is found in Chrome's JavaScript engine and carries a high severity rating. It allows remote attackers to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. Users are urged to update their Chrome browser to the latest release (114.0.5735.110) to avoid being compromised. This is the second V8 flaw and the third zero-day vulnerability patched in Chrome this year.
